Perludem Program Manager Fadli Ramadhanil said that what must be ensured in the 2024 Pileg Election Results Dispute Case at the Constitutional Court (MK) is the transparency process in the trial.
“One thing that must be ensured in the Pileg process is of course the transparency process, the accountability process of the trial,” Fadli told Media Indonesia, Sunday (28/4).
Fadli said the limited settlement time and the large number of cases must also be a concern.
“Enough space must be given to correct and confirm the process and results of the 2024 elections,” he said.
Fadli explained that what must be the public’s attention is the potential conflict of interest. He gave an example of a conflict of interest between Constitutional Judge Anwar Usman and PSI because its chairman Kaesang Pangarep is his nephew.
“Because (Anwar) is married to Jokowi’s younger brother, he has a direct conflict of interest, including Mr. Arsul Sani, who is still associated as a PPP cadre. PPP submitting PHPU must also be careful,” he said.
The preliminary hearing will begin next Monday (29/4) for 79 cases. The Constitutional Court itself has registered 297 cases of disputes over the results of Pileg 2024, both at the DPR RI, Provincial DPRD, Regency / City DPRD, and DPD election levels.
