Jakarta: The Constitutional Court (MK) will hold a hearing to read the decision on the dispute over the results of the 2024 presidential election on Monday, April 22, 2024. Program Manager of the Association for Elections and Democracy (Perludem) Fadli Ramadhanil assessed that the potential for the lawsuit to be granted or rejected in the 2024 presidential election results is still equally large.

“If it is granted, it will be seen how far and what kind of verdict formula is granted,” Fadli explained to Media Indonesia, Sunday, April 21, 2024.

He said that the arguments proven at the Constitutional Court were about the constitutionality and administrative problems of Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s candidacy. Then, there is also the problem of politicization of social assistance.

“And the chaos of picking and counting and recapitulation management,” he said.

Fadli said that the homework that needs to be monitored is about how confident the Constitutional Court judges are with the evidence that has been submitted in court. If rejected, said Fadli, then there is no other path to seek to correct the election results.

The Constitutional Court will read out the verdict of the general election dispute (PHPU) or the 2024 presidential election dispute on Monday, April 22, 2024. The Constitutional Court has invited all relevant parties to attend the reading of the decision.

The respondents in this dispute are the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu). Meanwhile, there are two applicants, namely Anies-Muhaimin and Ganjar-Mahfud.
